Embark on an exciting and safe expedition through some of Puerto Rico’s premier birding locations, targeting the island’s 19 endemic bird species and other Caribbean specialties over 6 days and 5 nights with our expert local guides. Puerto Rico is home to some rare and conservation-challenged species like the Puerto Rican Parrot, Yellow-shouldered Blackbird, Puerto Rican Nightjar, and Elfin-woods Warbler. Additionally, several birds currently classified as subspecies, such as the Lesser Antillean Pewee, Loggerhead Kingbird, and Sharp-shinned Hawk, may soon be recognized as unique island endemics following further research.

Day 4 – Southwest Scrub Forests and Freshwater Lagoons
Discover the unique birdlife of the southwest, transitioning from scrub forests to serene freshwater lagoons.
Day 5 – Southwest Dry Forest to Southeast
Continue exploring the dry forests of the southwest, then head southeast for more birding in diverse habitats.
